23rd March 2005

Hello out there. Being as my Human Mum won't introduce me, I'll have a go myself.

My name is Jade. I was born on 28th December 2004 at a place called Wizaland. I think it's a kinda madhouse, cos there's all sorts of things going on there. There's loadsa dogs, and people coming and going all the time. Plenty of space to play in.

I am black and white and my K9 dad is called Tetley and my K9 mum is called Wizza. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister.

When I was 8 weeks old I came to live at my new home in Stoke-on-Trent. There are 3 other Border Collies here. There's Will - he's nice and lets me swing on his neck; then there's Wispa - she's the posh one with the title. Think she's royalty. Last but not least there's Kaos!!!! She doesn't like me much, thinks I want her toys. Sorry, but I brought my own toys with me and I've gained a few more. At the moment the carpet is covered with chewed up cardboard and paper. The paper has a name - it's called Dog World (or was). The cardboard was a box.

The food is pretty good here, so I think I'll stay. Mum says I should be called Barkalot, cos that's what I do best (apart from ripping newspaper and cardboard boxes). She keeps telling me to stop the noise. I can't help it; I have to shout for attention cos she ignores me. When I want outa my night cage I scream, and scream, and scream. Well you have to don't you if you wanna go to the toilet? We have a telly, which is interesting. I like to watch that when I'm not doing anything else. I have learned to climb and can now get on the chairs - I watch the telly from Mum's chair.

When Mum took Wispa and Kaos to Crufts, I went to stay with Auntie Melanie and Miles and their dog Poppy (Will stayed at home to play guard dog). I don't think I'll be welcome again. I wouldn't go to sleep, got them up at 5 in the morning and wanted to play all day. Rhubarb (the cat) left home! I'm not sure what Crufts is, but Mum says if I behave myself and learn my lessons, maybe I'll go there one day.

Not sure what I want to be when I grow up. I'm already good at climbing and jumping. I've tried flying, but not sure about that. I missed my landing.

I'm going now, cos I need a sleep. I've been up since 5 a.m. doing some serious playing (and barking).

May catchya later.

11th November 2005

Hiya, Sorry it's been such a long time since I've written. I've been busy causing trouble all over the place. Nothing new there, really. What have I been doing? Not a lot really. I've eaten the occasional toilet roll - well, a lot of toilet rolls. In one week I ate 4 in 4 days. That didn't go down very well, I can tell you.

I've been to one or two shows, did quite well in my first one, got 2nd in my class and was Best Puppy Bitch and Reserve Best Bitch in Breed. So Mum was quite pleased at that. That was at an agricultural show. Afterwards we went to look at all the farm animals. I barked when I saw the sheep, they frightened me. Mum laughed and said not to be silly, I was supposed to be a sheepdog. [They were bigger than me]. Then we went to something called a Championship Show. I was put in my cage on a bench thing. Then we went home.

20th May 2008

Hiya, Sorry it's been such a long time since I wrote to you. Haven't done much over the last few years, cos Mum says I was going through a funny stage (whatever that means).

I went to North West Border Collie Championship Show last October and won my class and qualified for Crufts. Mum was very pleased with me. I wasn't sure what Crufts was, but I've since found out.

I was taken to Crufts with Wispa. It's a very big show, but didn't get to see much of it. I went into this humungous ring with a green carpet. There were a lot of other Border Collies there. I got 2nd place and Mum was dancing up and down as it meant I'd qualified for Crufts next year.

Next I went to the Club show (Border Collie Club of GB) and got 3rd place and Wispa won her class. Then I went to Birmingham National Show at Stafford (funny that - Birmingham Show at Stafford?) where I again got 3rd place.

I've done a lot of serious playing in the last 3 years - you know the sort of stuff - chasing balls and such and I've even learned how to catch a frizbee. I've also learned NOT to chased the geese and squirrels in the park.

Gotta dash, cos it's well past my bedtime. See you soon.
